WHY HOST A CONCERT?
music. truth. community. TOGETHER.
Some say music is a universal language. If that's true, then what a perfect way for the church to have a conversation with the world.
Jesus drew people to himself by speaking in parables. He told stories that invite us to search for deeper meaning. He used metaphors and images that everyone listening was familiar with and could understand.
Good songwriting can do the same, and Wild Harbors aims to follow Christ's example in how they write songs. They craft their lyrics and stories in ways that help people find a soul connection, whether the listener is part of a church or has never set foot through the doors. Doing so makes a Wild Harbors concert a great community-building event, and also an excellent outreach event - there are many people who will not accept an invite to a church service or a worship night or even a "Christian concert" designed for those already in church culture, but they would be interested in a singer-songwriter concert. In the band's stories and songs, they champion ideas of making the most of time, taking risks, and fighting for deeper relationships in marriage and friendship. They endeavor to set communities up well to engage in a night of art and beauty and then continue conversations about those themes after the night is over and the band has gone.
Additionally, band members Chris and Jenna lead musical worship for church services, which can often be a fitting added event to a storytelling concert. They also love to have conversations about creativity and God's hopes for humanity. In all of these offerings, they endeavor to serve your community well.

ABOUTTHEBAND
Wild Harbors is comprised of husband and wife singer-songwriters Chris and Jenna Badeker. Formed in 2017, the alternative pop outfit creates gutsy, lyric-driven songs laced with intricate vocal harmonies. Confronted with the knowledge that each person is given one short life to live, they put their previous careers aside to step into the adventure of music and invite other people to live their own adventures.
Their debut album, Monument, was produced by Andrew Osenga (Caedmon's Call, Andrew Peterson) in Nashville, TN and released March 15, 2019.
